![]() Kotlin distinguishes nullable variable and non nullable variable at the language syntax level. verify equal verify match You should be able to use either of them. (A,B,C is get text) What keywords should I use. Is there a way to get the date from that element and verify/match it to today’s. I can’t put verify element or element text, because the date changes daily. So I’m basically trying to verify a data I created has the correct date generated (today’s date). ![]() expectedText: String: Required: Represent the expected text (can be a regular expression). Kotlin language is better with null-safety. in katalon studio, i want to check AB is C. Kind of struggling with thisbut it’s probably simple as heck. Param Param Type Mandatory Description actualText: String: Required: Represent the actual text. So you are responsible for taking care of null-safety. Java/Groovy language is not designed with null-safty in mind. It is a design fault of Java/Groovy language that the language allows you to carelessly pass null as parameter to method calls. You should be carefull that you are not passing null to the class/methods of which internal you do not know. The simplest way to make sure a variable is not null is: assert var1 != null Parameters Returns Example You want to verify if the text 'Katalon' matches the regular expression ' (KT)atalon'. When object is not found, step still passes and confirmation message is: Actual text and expected text of test object ‘Object Repository/myObject’ are matched. You should write your code more defensive. Description Verify if two strings match each other, the second string can be a regular expression. using KSE 8.0.5 on Windows 10 and I see odd behaviour with Web UI keyword ‘Verify Element Text’. I think you should not blame Katalon Studio too much. Within test suite test is not finished, infinite loading in job progress. If WebUI.verifyMatch() / WebUI.verifyNotMatch() are configured to be failed, test case fails without detailed info. You can read the Java source of the WebUI.verifyMatch keyword at the following URL katalon-studio/katalon-studio-testing-framework/blob/master/Include/scripts/groovy/com/kms/katalon/core/keyword/builtin/oovy package .keyword.builtin WebUI.verifyMatch() / WebUI.verifyNotMatch() sometimes fails, sometimes passes when it should be failed. I can’t put verify element or element text, because the date changes daily. I am attaching the screenshot for the same. I have to download the Reports from the application (Example: Table Report) or a Chart (Ex.: Bar Chart) in Excel, PDF and CSV formats or in Image format (if it is a Chart) and I have to verify if that file is downloaded and compare the data between downloaded file and the Report in the application. If both the strings are blank then whatever I pass will give me the result accordingly, is there any way, that when choosing Verify Match, user can choose the expected object from the OR. Please clarify what the longest expression is accepted to compare? Thanks for the response How can I use Verify Match alert in Manual Mode.
